ReSource supports Veitur’s initiative to place greater emphasis on environmental issues when selecting contractors on behalf of the company. Veitur will be placing increased requirements in the tender specifications in order to get contractors to pay more attention to environmental issues and measures to reduce carbon footprint. Contractors receive points for certain environmental aspects that are defined for each project and factors that result in a lower carbon footprint of a project can account for up to 20% of a grading when bids are evaluated. The aim of this is reduce the carbon footprint of Veitur and contractors on their behalf. Veitur has set the goal that the company will be carbon neutral by 2030.
