ReSource, a forward-thinking and environmentally conscious company, is seeking a dedicated Landfill Gas Technician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in maintaining landfill gas collection systems for our customers to promote environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas collection systems to maximize gas recovery and minimize environmental impact.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, and repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Operate small equipment (power tools, etc.)
- Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training, experience or certification in mechanics is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to do strenuous work outdoors under various climatic conditions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Icelandic speaking is a plus.
- Can use the basic functions in office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and have a good attitude toward the customers.
- Experience with plastic pipe welding is a plus.
